Discover Internal Banking Redesign
Award-winning redesign focused on clarity, consistency, and conversion
Project Overview
As part of Discover’s internal banking team, I redesigned a range of legacy digital tools to improve usability, visual clarity, and mobile performance. Working alongside a UX designer, I created updated UI flows and reusable components across key banking actions like bill pay, wire transfers, CD renewal, and account overviews. Our goal was to bring modern design sensibility to complex, form-heavy workflows and ensure accessibility and consistency across devices.
Bill Pay
We redesigned the bill payment experience with a cleaner layout, clearer navigation, and mobile-first patterns. I focused on visual hierarchy, accessibility, and error reduction, making it easier for users to schedule, manage, and review recurring payments.
Wire Transfers
The wire transfer flow was transitioned from a paper-based experience to a fully digital journey. I designed screens for both domestic and international transfers, ensuring users could confidently input sensitive banking details without confusion or support delays.

I updated the visual design for clarity and accessibility while aligning the interface with Discover’s newer design system. The redesign reduced friction for users and helped minimize confusion around fees and payment methods.
Balance+
Balance+ is a feature that allows customers to avoid overdraft fees by covering negative balances. I designed the responsive layout across desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring a consistent and educational experience that explains eligibility and how the feature works.
CD Renewal
The redesigned Certificate of Deposit (CD) maturity settings simplified a previously confusing process. I created intuitive UI flows that made it easier for customers to understand their options and renew without calling support — helping improve retention.
